Message: THE DESERT CALLING
Through many days I've strayed
Wandering helplessly through myriad of sand-filled pathways
Silently tredging without end
The raging rays of the sun have burnt both skin & tongue
Baking them as hard as bronze with moisture taken from the endless stream of sweat seduced by the ever-growing heat.
My heart beats faster as I ponder on past
Misdeeds and disappointments filled with grave reminders of near fatalities and misses
Lost treasures fit for princes
Have ebbed away their grace
I even see the grim reeper before me
Looking pleased, relishing his moment to strike swiftly
with a subtle but lethal blow
Yet there are angels roundabout guarding the very image invoked by my shadow.
Mighty is the army that defends me
Strong, valiant and bright their garments radiantly glow before me
With double-edged swords reflecting Words of Life
they penetrate the darkness and and bring divine light
Turning deserts to pastures,
Wells to streams,
Low savannahs to thick forests and trees
Demarcating me from the cunnings of the enemy
They are an ever-present reminder that Revival has come to me dripping softly from the Throne of Eternity
My eternal Creator longs to be live in me
Till the twain becomes one
and etrnal purpose unites
Equipping saints for the End-Time fight
The desert journey was so worth the cold nights
As I stand still and watch darkness turn to daylight.
